This Japanese hawaiian shirt is made in Japan and produced by Sun Surf from Toyo Enterprises. The Sun Surf label, a division of Toyo Enterprise in Japan, is famous around the world for its expertly-crafted authentic Aloha-style shirts. This product is made especially for Japanese market and made for Japanese clothing sizes. Body pattern is inspired by classic vintage aloha shirts, but this item is outfitted with the original details of Sun Surf brand in a contemporary approach. With the inspiration from classic Hawaiian shirts, this button up shirt has been re-designed for a fashion purpose. This shirt design is new original creations by Sun Surf and not reproductions of what once existed. The graphic on this shirt is based on the Otani Oniji III in the Role of the Servant Edobei by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Toshusai Sharaku. And the fabric is made from lightweight rayon chirimen crepe fabric woven and printed in Japan with traditional techniques. This shirt is a limited edition made by Sun Surf under the supervision of the Tokyo National Museum. This modern hawaiian shirt is new original creations by Sun Surf from Toyo Enterprises.

Fit : This product is Japan size (Asian size), which is about 1 size smaller than USA and EU standard size. This shirt is originally intended to wear as a Boxy Fit (a extra room through the chest and body) with short in the body length for a more fashion-forward looks and for the vintage 50s fashionable feel and look. This shirt is made to fit shorter torsos but still have the room to comfortably fit wider chests. This shirt is not intended to be worn slim fit. Fits may vary by style or personal preference.

Our model wears a tagged size Japan M(US/EU S/36) and is 175 cm/5'9″tall, 59 kg/130 lbs and 91 cm/36" chest. He normally wears size US/EU S/36.

Fabric Type : 100% rayon. Made of 100% Japanese rayon chirimen crepe which is lightweight, no stretch, breathy fabric. This fabric has a beautiful drape, silky hand, matte sheen and a crimped appearanceon on the face of the fabric. Woven and printed in Japan with traditional techniques. A crepe fabric with a three-dimensional crimped structure. It is in touch with a point rather than a surface, this fabric gives the wearer breathability and also allows air to flow through the fabric so that it dries quickly. This fabric holds the cloth away from the skin and makes it cool to wear. This fabric is very suitable for the summer.

Types of Hawaiian Shirt Designs : Japanese Design.

Placket type : 5 buttons on front opening including a loop top button. Full-button closure (Front placket). This shirt has a top button that fastens with a loop at the collar.

Buttons : The buttons are four hole mother-of-pearl buttons with horizontal button holes.

Collar Type : Notched self-collar ( Loop Collar, Camp collar, Notched collar, Open collar ). Top button loop hole.

Bottom hem type : Straight hemline ( Square cut bottom Hem ).

Pocket : Matched open-top patch pocket on left chest, allowing for a seamless image. Creating matched pockets requires the use of more fabric and more precise cutting and sewing.

Yoke type : Straight yoke. A shirt yoke is made from two layers of fabric for durability. Reinforced double-layers shoulder yoke for greater durability at at stress points.

Back of the Shirt : Side pleated back vents to allow for maximum movement and comfort. The rear side pleats on the back (just below the yoke, out towards the ends of the shoulders) to allow for maximum movement and comfort.
